A Mentoring group gets "hands-on" to bless a local nursery school.
Upon reading the list of charity options we received at the end of
last year – our mentoring group decided to visit Noah’s Ark nursery school one
morning. Initially they had asked for new paint in the classrooms but after
spending some time there we noticed the mattresses stacked in each class for
afternoon naps – desperately calling for covers! This was what we set out to do!
We did our costing and then had to wait forever for stock of the winter sheeting material. In June it was time to get around a table (with a few mastermind sewing specialists and mathematicians!!!), and the assembly chain was put into motion!

A super Saturday was spent at the home of Jacoba – naturally ...
with cake, coffee etc. The ladies got down to serious business – by end of day
– 64 fitted sheets saw the light!
This week, Annelies and Sharifa met us at school when we arrived to
deliver our goods! The ladies moved into the classrooms and proudly covered
each mattress!
Thanks to ME2 Mentoring for giving us a nudge and making us aware of
needs, and just how easy it is to make a difference in our immediate surrounds!
Thanks to all our team for happily working together on this project! Make no
mistake, when 11 clever girls get together to work – many characteristics come
out to surprise you! We had many laughs and skills crept out that have been
successfully hidden under wraps ... but girls, now we know! Now we’ve seen!
Thanks to all for making this an easy, enjoyable project!
