On Saturday 9th
June, the wonderful ladies of Valley Christian Church Mentoring, Fishhoek, gathered for a
breakfast at the beautiful Clovelly Country Club.
Dee Harris who,
crutches and all, managed to deliver a great talk on Humility vs. Pride, amply
demonstrated the point, "Who needs a crutch? I do!"
Dee shared how
her crutches have been able to take her places she would otherwise not have
been able to go and have borne her full weight.
Likewise, when
we lean on Jesus, He takes us places we can't get to on our own and makes us
more than we could ever be by ourselves.
When we know who He is in us, no
circumstance or person's words can affect or determine our value.
We all left
greatly equipped, empowered and encouraged.
