Dare to Dream in London.

My name is Machrista and I’m from Victory Christian Church in Jeffreys Bay.

I was part of a group that joined Ps Edna Els, who was speaking at the Dare to Dream Conference held at London Network Church, London, England.

For many reasons, I was very excited to be there, but the dream theme didn’t really excite me. However, as the conference started, God was already showing me that He has a dream for me and that I am living His dream by loving His people. 

This love is an act of faith for me. 

He showed me that TO LOVE is to get involved and to pursue!  

There were girls that drove all the way from Holland to attend the conference.  Their pursuit of their Spiritual parents and the ways of God ministered to me.  

During the trip, I recognised my friends' willingness to step out and get involved in peoples’ lives, as well as to keep on communicating, whereas I tend to withdraw. 

Edna told a story about the high success rate of “after-prison life” of those who did not decorate their cells: 'There should be a dream for what is to come and not a settling down…’  I am determined not to settle down!  I will take what He gives me.  I will not withdraw anymore, but will push through in relationships and not fear commitment.  I will make progress by obeying His voice as He guides me. I will lay hold of the promises and of the prophetic, one of which is that He took away the cobwebs over my mind that hinders me from living my Father's dream!

I had to push through pride, doubt and unbelief to accept the offer to go to the conference.  I realised afterwards, that by attending (through a miracle), He is colouring my vision for His Kingdom and building my faith. 

I was blessed by Jesus’ healing and liberating power.  Ministering to people, deeply dependent on the Holy Spirit and seeing how He takes over, is a thrill!  Being part of the bigger church and experiencing a 'global' family, truly connecting with people from different cultures, left me refreshed and energised. 


Church works and His Kingdom is advancing!
